Having worked for Player’s Racing and Team KOOL Green in the past, I was delighted to see that the people and money behind open-wheel racing finally made nice. Is it all too late, though? NASCAR has left open-wheel racing choking on its dust is an understatement. And I must admit, I cannot believe that the re-united IndyCar series is passing up on a wildly popular event like the race in Toronto! I think the race will return, but a better foot forward would have been to keep dates on the calendar that actually draw serious crowds. Time will tell whether Tony George can return open-wheel racing to its former glory.
